Yahoo! Has Added Twitter Integration

Yahoo! has announced today that they are adding Twitter to their search engine. After you search a particular keyword, there is a box called ‘Twitter’ that you can click on and it will show you updates from twitter on that topic.
Yahoo! wants to show the public they are still improving and moving forward in search. Yahoo! plans to turn over all their web crawling to Bing when the deal is finalized. Yahoo! will still continue to develop front-end enhancements.

Twitter recently announced they are allowing people to follow Twitter users without an account through text messaging. To subscribe, all you have to do is text number 40404 with the message “follow [username]“. You will then be immediately connected to their Twitter stream and will receive text messages whenever they post a new status update.
